Potential

What is potential? Why is it needed to be gifted?

Potential is usually defined as working hard to get something done, or expressing possibity to get something done. You need potential because even though you may be smart and come up with your own ideas, you need to work hard to get your ideas expressed and finish your work. Thomas Edison once remarked that "Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration." He was simply remarking that although you can come up with an idea, you have to keep working, no matter how many failures, until you finally get it right. Another time, when asked about the light bulb "failures" he stated that he didn't fail, he just learned 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb and 1 way to make one. This just goes to show that you should always try, no matter how many times you fail, because you will learn from each and every mistake. You need potential to do that, learning from mistakes and trying harder the next time.
